Spotlight on Ralph Lauren: The Making of Americana Designer Steps Down as His Company's CEO; Retains Executive Chairman & Chief Creative Officer Positions

On September 29, 2015, Ralph Lauren announced that he is stepping down as CEO from his vast fashion empire.  However, he will remain executive chairman and chief creative officer of the company.  In November, Mr. Lauren will hand over the reigns to Stefan Larsson who is well-versed in the world of fashion having worked for H&M and Old Navy.

Ralph Lauren himself is an institution.  His legacy will still continue with him at the helm as chief creative officer.  His influence over America fashion spans four decades.  He defined Americana with a splash a European flare.  He has sold the America dream, a lifestyle of sorts, as one of sophisticated leisure. Ralph Lauren encourages us to live the inspired life.  One that he created, but a life that we can make our own.

“I am constantly drawing inspiration from everything I see—the places I travel, the people I know and the movies I see.”  ~Ralph Lauren
