This year, Pantone has chosen its colors of the year to be Rose Quartz and Serenity. These colors either are or will be everywhere from the runway to the stores. Pantone took a transcendental approach to choosing these colors by stating that they wanted to reflect connection and wellness and a “soothing sense of order and peace.”
The colors take on a sort of yin/yang approach of warm and cool showing an “inherent balance” with Rose Quartz being the warmer, more embracing color and Serenity being the tranquil, more peaceful color.
Pantone further states, “Rose Quartz is a persuasive yet gentle tone that conveys compassion and a sense of composure. Serenity is weightless and airy, like the expanse of the blue sky above us, bringing feelings of respite and relaxation even in turbulent times.”
Personally, I cannot be more thrilled with Pantone’s selections. I love lighter colors that are more pastel in presentation. Plus, I absolutely love pink! I mean I ADORE pink. I have since I was a little girl. I cannot wait to buy a few outfits that blend these colors, especially for spring. Pastels are perfect for spring! I have already chosen my Kentucky Derby outfit, but I might have to revise it to these colors and get a Derby hat that is Rose Quartz and Serenity. Wouldn’t that be fashionable?
All I kind say is bravo to Pantone for choosing such beautiful colors this year that complement each other so beautifully. I took a peek a the color choices from former years and they all were very beautiful. However, I have to say, this year’s colors are my absolute favorite. I do not think that Pantone could have chosen any better! I hope that you will embrace Rose Quartz and Serenity as I have and have some fun with these colors this year!
