Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2017 is Greenery

Since 2000, Pantone has selected its Color of the Year to reflect the current cultural climate.  For 2017, Pantone has chosen Greenery as its Color of the Year because it is “nature’s neutral”.  It is a versatile “trans-seasonal” shade that lends itself to many color combinations.

Pantone states it best when it declares that “Greenery is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew. Illustrative of flourishing foliage and the lushness of the great outdoors, the fortifying attributes of Greenery signals consumers to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate.”

    1. I totally agree with you! It’s a bit weird of a color especially to wear. I am planning to look for some flattering green pieces to add to my wardrobe that might not line up exactly with “Greenery”. xo

  1. Hhmmm that’s me bombed out of shopping I do not suit green in any shade or material. Hopefully Orange will come up soon x
