I. Grand Foyer
The Grand Foyer is just as how you would expect it to be: warm and inviting. You feel like you have entered your home and are ready to enjoy its many luxuries. From the wingback chairs and blankets to the books, candles, and fresh flowers on the coffee table, the Grand Foyer definitely sets the mood for the entire experience at Hearth and Soul.
The library hosts a prolific array of highly curated books from different genres including humor, coffee table, stylish, local interests as well as select fiction and non-fiction. These books are certain to feed the soul’s thirst for knowledge. It is the perfect place for author talks and book signings.
The overstuffed leather couch is an ideal spot for reading! It certainly feeds the soul as it contributes to an environment of peace and tranquility where one can get lost in whatever book he or she chooses.
III. Great Room
The Great Room or Family Room is a wonderful place to engage your family and friends in some good conversation. The atmosphere in this section of Hearth & Soul is conducive to relaxation, catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. Some of the brands that can be purchased in the Great Room are Four Hands, Regina Andrews, Europe 2 You, Interlude, Gabby, Mr. Brown of London, Oly, Palececk, Saddleman’s, and Alicia Adams.
The kitchen is an upbeat place where creation and inspiration are ever-present. Join friends and family at the coffee bar where you can enjoy fresh coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. It is a very inviting area where everyone can feel free to socialize with one another. The kitchen itself contains all the supplies and utensils that one would need to prepare a delicious dish or an entire meal! As with all the items at Hearth & Soul, everything in the kitchen may be purchased, so keep an eye out for that special item to complete your home.

V. Bed & Bath
The Bed & Bath area is designed to be completely serene. From products to create a bath that will feed your soul to pajamas that will allow you to cuddle up into your favorite chair or sleep soundly all night long, the brands offered at Hearth & Soul are superb. VI. Men’s Closet
Stepping into the Men’s Closet is just like stepping into a well-dressed man’s closet. It’s full of fine men’s clothing wonderfully organized by season and type of garment. The Men’s Closet is highly curated with each piece being hand-selected. The room even smells like a man’s closet and it includes things that a man might enjoy in addition to clothes. For example, there is a small bookshelf and one of the books is all about Porsches.

VII. Women’s Closet
The Women’s Closet is also highly curated with each piece being selected for the closet collection. Unlike the Men’s Closet, the Women’s Closet is feminine in every way. Surrounded by handbags, shoes, and scarves, the Women’s Closet projects a sense of belonging for each woman who enters because she will feel right at home. The Patio is a beautiful space full of peace and tranquility. It is quite palatial so many events are held in the space such as yoga classes, self-defense classes, art classes, and so much more. These events include book readings and signings, artist spotlights, wine and cheese pairings, fireside chats, and this is just to name a few. X. Susie Busch-Transou – Founder/Owner, CEO
Susie Busch-Transou is the founder and owner of Hearth & Soul. It was her vision to create a home away from home where family and friends alike could have an experience that feeds their soul. She has created a home-like atmosphere that is inspiring, approachable, and timeless. Hearth & Soul is a place where you could get blissfully lost and that would be a wonderful thing.
As the founder and owner of Hearth & Soul, Susie Busch-Transou has quite an impressive resume. A graduate of Duke University with a degree from the Kellogg School of Management, she is the co-owner of a beverage distribution and sales company with 200+ employees in North/Central Florida. Her prior employment was with Anheuser-Busch, DDB Needham, Fleishman Hillard, Sea World and Busch Gardens. She has experience in leadership, business management, marketing and promotion, product development and public relations.
Susie’s mission for Hearth & Soul goes well beyond the brick and mortar. Her philanthropic work on behalf of Hearth & Soul in the Tallahassee community has had a tremendous impact. With a deep understanding of the power of feeding the soul of the community with which one lives, works, and thrives, Hearth & Soul, in conjunction with a Non Profit Partner Program, partners each months with an area charity. Each month has a featured candle which is sold at Hearth & Soul. The net profits are donated to that month’s chosen charity at a VIP reception held in the charity’s honor at Hearth & Soul.
