This embroidered jacket is one of my favorites!  It is a staple in my fall/winter wardrobe.  It’s a three button fitted cotton jacket with intricate embroidery detail as you can see from the front.  Also, the front angle shows a pink lace underpinning from Ann Taylor along with a rose and pink necklace that complements the jacket.

The view of the detailing from the back was even more beautiful.  Not only is the stitching breathtaking, but the colors are so vibrant.  The most prominent colors are rose, orange, yellow. and blue.  The back of this jacket is where we really get to see the embroidery and all its intricacies.

This necklace completes the outfit as it contains neutral colors as well as colors contained in the jacket.  It also matches the underpinning by Ann Taylor which is also a neutral.  When styling a colorful and heavily embroidered piece like this jacket, it’s always best to go light on underpinning and jewelry so as not to clutter the outfit.  I chose these pieces especially for this jacket so that they would be understated and complement the jacket instead of clash or take away from it.

While ornate, the jacket is still casual so I would not wear it in a formal setting.  With its frayed edges and distressed fabric, this jacket would be perfect with jeans.  It could also be worn with a skirt and some ballet flats or wedge heel sandals which would also be appropriate if you chose the look with jeans.

Where would you wear this outfit?  Almost anywhere you would like!  Personally, I think it’s a great brunch/lunch outfit either with jeans or a skirt because it’s a great conversation piece.  All of your girlfriends are going to want to see the stitching and look at the different designs.  You could also wear this jacket on a leisurely day shopping or a day at the park with your husband or boyfriend.  The possibilities are endless, but one thing is for sure, this jacket will turn heads!
